About Simon Corbin

Author Simon Corbin

SIMON CORBIN is an author from southwest London, UK.

Simon spent over 25 years as a freelance writer / journalist / copywriter before moving into teaching. Simon has taught Journalism and Creative Writing to adult learners at Richmond Adult and Community College in Surrey and A-level and GCSE English at southwest London FE Colleges.

Writing novels has been a core ambition for Simon since early childhood. His belief grew when, as a young schoolboy, Simon was presented with a prize for English by the acclaimed author, Jilly Cooper. Some three decades later, Simon had the joy of seeing his novel LOVE, GUDRUN ENSSLIN appearing alongside Cooper’s books on the shelves at Waterstone’s.

In recent years, Simon has branched out into screenwriting – co-authoring a script for a TV thriller under the guidance of a BAFTA-winning producer and co-writing horror movie scripts for Hollywood based investors.

Outside writing, Simon’s interests include cartooning/caricature (something he has done ever since he could hold a pen), playing music (having spent eight years as a drummer in various bands, Simon now plays guitar and writes songs) and playing tennis (whenever the London weather permits!).
